Ottime notizie per tutti i fan dei Queen: il 25 ottobre uscirà una Collector’s Edition da sei CD e un LP del primo album “Queen”, con versioni remixate e rimasterizzate del disco originale.
Il cofanetto uscirà con il nome di “Queen I” e conterrà una tracklist rivisitata del disco del 1973, contenente anche il brano “Mad the Swine”, originariamente omesso. Un totale di sessantatre canzoni che comprendono demo, sedute di registrazione, prove live e un’inedita registrazione della loro prima esibizione live del 1970. Completa la collector’s edition un libro di 108 pagina con testi, foto e cimeli vari.
“Questa non è solo una rimasterizzazione. Questa è una nuovissima ricostruzione del 2024 dell’intero album di debutto dei Queen, che, con il senno di poi, abbiamo rinominato Queen I. Tutte le esibizioni sono esattamente come si presentavano originariamente nel 1973, ma ogni strumento è stato rivisto per produrre i suoni ambientali “live” che avremmo voluto usare in origine. Il risultato è “Queen” come sarebbe suonato con le conoscenze e la tecnologia del giorno d’oggi: una novità. “Queen I” è l’album di debutto che abbiamo sempre sognato di offrirvi.”, ha dichiarato Brian May.
